Welcome to the Community of Practice on Trade Statistics, a space created under the PAS II programme to support African statisticians in sharing knowledge, tools, and experiences on trade in goods, trade in services, and informal cross-border trade (ICBT). This community contributes to the African Union’s vision of deeper integration through initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Boosting Intra-African Trade (BIAT) programme, and the Strategy for the Harmonization of Statistics in Africa (SHaSA2).
To ensure respectful and productive exchanges, we invite all members to follow three key principles:
Be professional – Maintain a constructive and respectful tone in all interactions.
Stay on topic – Focus discussions on technical and thematic issues related to trade statistics.
Respect all voices – Value the diversity of experiences across the continent. Our strength lies in our differences.
Let’s build a strong, connected, and skilled network of African trade statisticians—for better data, better policy, and better integration.
